Settings

To change "MyShortcuts" application settings right click on form and select "settings" option in context menu. The "Setting" form will be opened.

  • Source Directory
    Source directory is the place where all folders and shortcuts needs to be stored. Every folder in Source Directory match submenu item in "MyShortcuts" menu.
    Every windows shortcut in Source Directory match one menu item in "MyShortcuts" menu.
    You can have more then one source folders if you want to have different "My Shortcuts" profiles. For example, you may have "My Music" profile or "My web links" and etc. All you need to do is to change from one profile to another is to change "Source Directory" setting.

    Default setting: "C:\Program Files\MyShortcuts".
  • Menu
    You can change text of the root menu item by change "Text" setting.
    Default setting is "my shortcuts".
  • Visual effects
    - Opacity: this setting make "MyShortcuts" transperent, so you can see other applications under "MyShortcuts" form
    - Show in task bar: you can hide/show "MyShortcuts" task in taskbar by manipulating this setting
    - Always on top: this setting allow you to keep "MyShortcuts" form on top any other application
    - Show ControlBox: this setting allow you to hide/show header along with Control Box. Press CTRL+F2 or double click on "MyShortcuts" form.
  • Start Up
    Check of this checkbox to start MyShortcuts application when Windows starts up
  • Icon order
    You can change the order of icon(shortcut) in MyShortcuts menu. Click on a particular node in a left treeview control and select the node the order you want to change. Press Up or Down button to move this icon(shortcuts) to selected direction. This way you can orginize all shortcuts in each menu you may have in MyShortcuts.
